New RPG Maker Announced! Already? Why?
It's a parallel version of RPG Maker, not "the next RPG Maker" after MZ. And they were pretty clear about that in the announcement but it didn't really stop people from calling it the next RPG Maker anyway.

This gamelooksis fantastic and I can say that if you don't give it a play, you will miss a fantastic experience. I'm at 7 hours play time and the game is definitely a masterpiece - it's one of the top 3 RPG Maker games I've ever played. Got a featured game? Deserved! Got a misao for game of the year? Definetely deserved! I'm just happy every evening when I get home and can play this game. REALLY good job.
That really means a lot to hear! Thank you so much :) It still blows my mind that something I made was enjoyable to someone. I'm really glad I could make a difference for the people who play them.

Kirby + Earthbound = This.
"Kirby Earthbound" is a pretty good descriptor for it, haha. Considering both of these series have been pretty huge influences on my graphical style over the years.

Echoing zDS, this is definitely the time to start getting more aggressive with your social media marketing. Getting the word out before release is infinitely more important than any marketing you do post-release!
Pictures, gifs, and especially trailers will help immensely. Especially if you're putting them in the tweets themselves: getting people to click on a link nowadays is a surprisingly difficult struggle and people kind of expect the social media experience to be all right there on the timeline, so a flashy trailer right in the tweet itself might get them to stop scrolling for a minute to watch what you've got. And that will help out your reach!

Congrats to all of the winners! I'm glad to see so many games on display this year across so many categories, perhaps more than any other year I've seen so far.
And WOW! Thank you to everyone who voted Soma Union as Game of the Year! I was quite surprised, and I'm really happy that this labor of love touched so many hearts. I'm also relieved that the game didn't also sweep and that lots of other games got to be highlighted as well.

Would love to see a Soma platformer made in something like GB Studio someday
I'd love to make a not-an-RPG Soma Spirits spinoff or mini side game one day. Just something fun and simple lol. Especially since I don't imagine I'll make a third mainline game: I think I've told the story I want to tell and I'm satisfied with how they work as a duology.
But side games can be a lot of fun.
